PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST

Individuals can get a copy of a police report in-person or by mail in the following manner. In-person by coming to the Police Department located on the first floor of city hall. The records division is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Those individuals wanting to receive a police report by mail must include the following:

  1. Your request must give specific information about the report you want mailed to you, i.e., case report (CR) number, date of the accident or crime, driver or victim's name listed on the report.
  2. A self addressed stamped envelope.
  3. Money order for $5.00. (NO PERSONAL CHECKS)

The records division provides a number of additional services to the general public on a daily basis. Those services include, criminal history checks, distribution of gun permit applications, and fingerprinting job applicants. Other services and their associated costs are listed on the attached list of service fees.
